Job Title: General Ledger Accountant

Minimum Experience: 3-5 years

Job Location: Okhla, New Delhi (Onsite)

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

- Manage the GL reporting and processing of journals

- Maintain the fixed assets register

- Liaise with AR/AP teams on month-end closing activities

- Ensure timely and accurate month-end closing and monthly reporting

- Liaise with auditors and prepare audit schedules

- Develop and lead tax strategy in line with the overall business objectives

- Ensure tax compliance by reviewing direct and indirect tax returns, tax provisions, and attending to tax queries

- Develop and lead both tax-saving opportunities and tax solutions by working closely with multiple stakeholders

- Provide advice and guidance on all tax-related matters

- Assist with tax audits

- Monitor developments regarding tax policies to effectively analyze proposed tax policy changes and evaluate their impact, developing and executing plans accordingly

- Work with finance and other cross-functional teams to implement and improve end-to-end tax processes and procedures to mitigate risks

- Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial statements by performing monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing and reporting

- Review consolidated monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports

- Provide guidance on accounting standards and their treatments

- Liaise with internal and external auditors

Key Requirements:

- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance

- At least 2 years of experience within a Financial Reporting/Accountant (General Ledger) role, ideally within the Professional Services industry

- Highly goal-driven and works well in fast-paced environments

- Strong team player who can manage multiple stakeholders

- Adaptable and thrives in changing environments
