Job Title: Executive - Statutory Audit

The opportunity
EY is looking for an Executive in Statutory Audit to join our team.
Your key responsibilities
- Conduct operational, financial, process, and systems audits.
- Identify accounting & auditing issues and collaborate with audit in-charge to resolve them.
- Execute substantive testing of appliances as per the audit plan and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Identify improvements to control systems and procedures.
- Clearly present audit reports with key recommendations to management.
- Prepare and maintain statutory books of accounts, audits, reconciliation of accounts receivable & payable, and finalization of accounts.
- Assist seniors in reviewing financial statements and preparing audit reports, management comment letters, and management representation letters.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.
- Prior experience handling statutory audit assignments.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple assignments, and handle ambiguity.
- Strong verbal and communication skills.

- Good presentation skills and a prompt response ability.

To qualify for the role you must have
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 0-1 year of experience.
Ideally, you'll also have
- Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- High flexibility, adaptability, and creativity.
- Comfort in interacting with senior executives (within the firm and with clients).
- Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibilities.
