Position Summary:
The Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) team at EY focuses on providing advisory services on climate change mitigation and decarbonization, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety), non-financial reporting, and the customization and implementation of ESG digital tools like Enablon, MSM, among others. The team also provides assurance on non-financial disclosures.
As a manager, you will lead a team of professionals while working closely with global EY teams and clients. You will help clients understand non-financial reporting regulations and standards, develop processes and controls, and undertake limited/reasonable assurance on non-financial disclosures of global EY clients based on frameworks like ISAE 3000 (Revised) and AA 1000. The role may involve short-term travel for client engagements.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead the execution of ESG Assurance projects, including limited/reasonable assurance of ESG disclosure, Green/Climate/Sustainable/Social bonds assurance, and assurance of environmental proceeds against legal obligations.
- Lead a team of professionals, enhancing their experience in EY GDS.
- Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships with global EY teams.
- Stay updated on global sustainability regulations and market trends, while developing tailored solutions and thought leadership.
- Create a positive work environment within the team.
- Monitor workloads of the team to meet client expectations.
- Provide candid, meaningful, and constructive feedback in a timely manner.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:
- Graduate (engineering preferable) or post-graduate degree in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, or related disciplines from reputed institutes.
- 8+ years of experience (graduates) or 6+ years of experience (post-graduates), preferably from a consulting background.
- Relevant experience in ESG Assurance on various ESG disclosures in line with ISAE 3000 (revised) and/or AA1000 assurance standards.
- Experience in ESG reporting, materiality assessment, impact assessments, double materiality assessment, CSRD regulations, and IFRS standards is advantageous.
- Certifications in climate change, environment, and sustainability from GRI, SASB, GARP, etc., are advantageous.
- Excellent team and engagement management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas into clear messages.
- Excellent MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills.
