Position Summary

Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provide advisory services including accounting and regulatory support for accounting change and special matters, and accounting processes and controls support. We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Optimization professional with functional expertise in one or more reporting platforms such as Workiva, Axiom, etc. In this role, you will apply your financial reporting expertise to support and enable our client's reporting optimization needs. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving growth, managing delivery teams, and bringing subject matter expertise to enhance our FAAS services.

Primary Responsibilities

- Work with clients to identify the scope of services, plan discovery workshops, and assess the current state of reporting operations.

- Document existing reporting processes to understand the workflow, data sources, tools used, and manual interventions.

- Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and areas where automation can be applied.

- Establish clear objectives for an optimized and automated reporting process.

- Assist in developing a solution architecture outlining how the reporting platform will integrate with existing systems and data sources.

- Assist in designing the reporting platform to align with the desired reporting processes, including setting up templates, data connectors, and workflows.

- Design and plan for data integration, ensuring that data from various sources can be aggregated and utilized within the reporting platform.

- Create report templates in the client's reporting platform that adhere to the organization's standards and requirements.

- Implement validation rules and checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

- Facilitate UAT sessions to ensure it meets end-user needs and requirements.

- Develop and deliver training programs for end-users to enable a seamless transition to the new system.

- Build a team of reporting optimization experts by enabling training and certification, ensuring high utilization.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), ACCA (UK), or MBA with 5-10 years of relevant experience.

- Knowledge of finance reporting including financial close reporting, SEC reporting, iXBRL tagging, ESG reporting, and other statutory and regulatory reporting.

- Proficiency in tools such as Workiva, Axiom, or other user-driven reporting tools.

- Familiarity with Wdesk & Wdata modules within Workiva.

- Knowledge of any ETL tools such as Alteryx preferred.

- Knowledge of data integration, data transformation, and modeling preferred.

- Proficient in current state analysis (As-is), future state analysis (To-be), process optimization, data optimization, data analytics, and data management.

- Project management experience, including the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Ability to manage a team and establish credibility as a trusted advisor with clients.

- Strong executive presence and ability to interface with all levels of management (EY and clients).
