EY Global Delivery Services (GDS) Assurance practice supports client-serving teams globally across various industries such as financial services, manufacturing, and technology. By leveraging a multidisciplinary team with sector knowledge and expertise, EY GDS Assurance enables EY client teams in over 30 countries to meet their audit requirements.

**Position Summary:**

Our Financial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals offer advisory services that include accounting and regulatory support for accounting changes and special matters, as well as accounting processes and controls support. We are seeking an experienced Finance Transformation professional specializing in Record-to-Report Optimization (R2R) Solutions to join our EY FAAS team. The ideal candidate will drive growth, manage delivery teams, and bring subject matter expertise to enhance our FAAS services.

**Responsibilities:**

- Manage teams of FAAS professionals during engagements, covering a broad spectrum of R2R Optimization areas.

- Lead engagement scoping and plan Discovery Workshops with the client to assess the current state and perform comprehensive needs analysis.

- Identify and document current R2R processes, KPIs, risk metrics, pain points, and inefficiencies.

- Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives.

- Conduct a gap analysis to determine improvement or automation opportunities.

- Coordinate with multiple teams for detailed solutioning & delivery, including:

- Redesigning processes to eliminate inefficiencies and incorporate best practices.

- Evaluating appropriate R2R Optimization tools that meet project requirements based on factors like integration capabilities, scalability, user-friendliness, and cost.

- Assisting in designing processes on the chosen R2R Optimization tools to fit the future state operating model.

- Assisting in customizing features and settings to meet specific business needs.

- Advising clients on topics such as month-end close optimization, journal entry rationalization, reconciliation optimization, and chart of accounts rationalization.

- Provide strategic recommendations to senior management on utilizing new technologies, automation, and digitalization to drive innovation in the Controllership function.

- Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption and integration of new processes, technologies, and ways of working.

- Develop detailed documentation and deliver training programs and workshops to enhance end user understanding and proficiency in R2R solutions.

- Undertake account management, client relationship management, and business development on select accounts.

- Lead responses to Requests for Quotation (RFQs), prepare proposals, and actively participate in client discussions.

**Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:**

- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), ACCA (UK), or MBA with 5-10 years of relevant experience

- Knowledge of the Finance domain with deep expertise in the Record-to-Report lifecycle

- Certification in Blackline, FloQast, Trintech, or hands-on experience with similar tools

- Strong understanding of Account Reconciliation, Consolidations, Intercompany accounting, Transaction Matching, Journal Entry and Task Management, Variance analysis, Smart close modules

- Proficiency in current state analysis (As-Is), future state analysis (To-Be), process and data optimization, data analytics, and data management

- Project management experience, including the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously

- Ability to manage a team and establish credibility as a trusted advisor with clients

- Strong executive presence with the ability to interface with all levels of management (EY and clients)
