Through the right multidisciplinary team of professionals with the sector knowledge and subject matter expertise, EY GDS Assurance enables EY client teams in over 30 countries to help world's leading companies meet their audit requirements.Position SummaryFinancial Accounting Advisory Services (FAAS) professionals provides advisory services including Accounting and regulatory support for accounting change and special matters, accounting processes and controls support.We are looking for an experienced Financial Reporting Optimization professional with functional expertise in one or more Reporting platforms such as Workiva, Axiom, etc. In this role you will apply your Financial Reporting expertise to support and enable our client's Reporting Optimization needs. The Senior will be responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work as per EY Global Standards for our FAAS team. While the Senior will be based out of our Gurugram or Bengaluru offices, the individual will be responsible for supporting EY practices and clients across the Global Market. Also, the individual may be required to travel to other countries (short-term) for executing client engagements.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe Senior - Reporting Optimization will be responsible for the following tasks: Assist in planning Discovery workshops and perform current state assessment of the Reporting Operations Document the existing reporting processes to understand the workflow, data sources, tools used, and manual interventions Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and areas where automation can be applied Help establish clear objectives for end-state optimized and automated reporting process Assist in developing a solution architecture that outlines how the Reporting Platform will integrate with existing systems and data sources Assist in designing of the Reporting Platform to align with the desired reporting processes, including setting up templates, data connectors, and workflows Design and plan for data integration, ensuring that data from various sources can be aggregated and utilized within the Reporting Platform Create report templates in the client's Reporting Platform that adhere to the organization's standards and requirements Implement validation rules and checks to ensure data accuracy and consistency Facilitate UAT sessions to ensure it meets end-user needs and requirements Develop and deliver training programs for end-users to seamlessly transition to the new systemQualifications, skills, and experience To qualify, candidates must have: Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), ACCA (UK) or MBA with 2-6 years of relevant experience Knowledge of Finance Reporting including Financial Close reporting, SEC Reporting, iXBRL tagging, ESG Reporting, Tax Reporting, SOX Reporting, other statutory and regulatory reporting Proficiency in tools such as Workiva, Axiom or other user-driven reporting tools Familiarity with Wdesk & Wdata modules within Workiva Knowledge of any ETL tools such as Alteryx preferred Knowledge of Data Integration, Data Transformation and modelling preferred.
