The opportunity

EY is seeking Interns in Assurance. You will be responsible for executing client-related engagements under the supervision of Seniors, ensuring the delivery of high-quality work. You will assist Seniors and Managers in developing new methodologies and other related internal initiatives.

Your key responsibilities

- Analyzing variances of all profit and loss account items and arriving at logical conclusions.

- Ensuring full compliance with statutory and external statutory financial accounting requirements, record-keeping, and reporting auditing functions.

- Supporting Executives and Managers on research assignments and compliance-related work.

- Evaluating internal control systems/procedures and preparing audit reports to highlight shortcomings and necessary recommendations.

- Conducting tax audits to ensure proper disclosures and compliance with various tax regulations.

- Assisting in the preparation of Audit Programs and following up and gathering information from clients.

- Staying updated with developments in audit-related areas and updating their teams accordingly.

Skills and attributes for success

- Strong analytical and numerical ability

- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

To qualify for the role you must have

- Graduate with both groups of IPCC cleared, or have cleared one and awaiting results for the second

- No prior experience required

Ideally, you'll also have

- Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills

- High flexibility, adaptability, and creativity

- Comfort interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
