Job Title: EY-Assurance - Associate

As part of our EY-Assurance Team, you will be conducting routine substantive and controls-based procedures from the GDS India offices. You will support various Global client-serving assurance teams, mostly based in the Americas and European countries.

The opportunity

We're seeking individuals with knowledge and understanding of accounting and assurance concepts. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work virtually or directly with engagement teams across the Americas and Europe, and to develop knowledge of international accounting and assurance principles.

Your key responsibilities

- Deliver the highest quality on every task assigned, in line with EY Global review methodology and the expectations of Global engagement teams.

- Demonstrate a basic understanding of an industry or sector and be aware of technical issues or assurance risks.

- Execute and document specific review procedures as defined by the engagement teams.

- Build knowledge about risk management, including understanding significant business processes, regulations applicable to the client, and other client-specific risks.

- Timely identification of accounting issues, clear documentation of facts and findings, and discussion with GDS senior/Assistant Manager.

- Collaborate with GDS senior and global team members to set goals and responsibilities.

- Interact with the global engagement team regularly and develop a productive working relationship.

- Contribute ideas for improvement by comparing the efficiency of review procedures performed across different clients.

- Contribute to a positive team environment by demonstrating consistent commitment and optimism towards work challenges.

- Promote EY's ethical and professional standards, including data confidentiality.

- Develop knowledge of EY technology and tools to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.

To qualify for the role, you must have:

- BCom with 1+ Years of relevant experience in Assurance

- ACCA/CPA Fresher

Ideally, you'll also have:

- Basic knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office

- Interest in business and commerciality
