The Opportunity

EY is looking for an Executive in Statutory Audit.

Your Key Responsibilities

- Carry out operational, financial, process, and systems audits designed to review and appraise activities, systems, and controls.

- Identify accounting & auditing issues and discuss them with the audit in-charge to solve arising issues.

- Perform substantive testing of appliances in accordance with the audit plan and appropriately document all work performed.

- Identify improvements to control systems and procedures.

- Present audit reports clearly highlighting key audit recommendations to management.

- Prepare & maintain statutory books of accounts, audit, reconciliation of accounts receivable & payable, and finalization of accounts.

- Assist seniors in reviewing & checking financial statements and preparing the audit report, management comment letter, and management representation letter.

Skills and Attributes for Success

- Strong knowledge of auditing and accounting standards.

- Experience handling statutory audit assignments.

- Ability to prioritize work on multiple assignments and manage ambiguity.

- Strong verbal and communication skills.

- Clarity of thought and assertiveness.

- Effectiveness and creativity in written expression - logical, readability, and conciseness.

- Good presentation skills and the ability to respond promptly.

To Qualify for the Role You Must Have

- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 0-3 years of experience.

Ideally, You'll Also Have

- Strong communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.

- High flexibility, adaptability, and creativity.

- Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client).

- Strong leadership skills and supervisory responsibility.
