We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President to join our Fund Reporting team. Fund Reporting is responsible for preparing statutory annual, and regulatory quarterly and/or interim financial statements as required and Schedule of Investments. The financial statements are prepared using the relevant GAAP based on the domicile of the fund, which may be IFRS, Irish, Jersey, Luxembourg, US, or UK GAAP. Funds may be domiciled in the Cayman Islands, Ireland, Jersey, Luxembourg, the US, or the UK. The incumbent will be responsible for leading a highly qualified and energetic team within the US/EMEA Financial Reporting Line of Business.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Providing oversight, preparing and reviewing financial statements, setting priorities for multiple teams responsible for preparing and reviewing financial reports on behalf of assigned clients and funds.
- Ensuring Financial Reporting meets corporate and any applicable regulatory standards. Reviewing changes in accounting disclosure standards to direct process changes needed to ensure compliance.
- Providing oversight and guidance in setting the processes that check for the completeness and accuracy of disclosure in financial statements.
- Resolving complex escalated issues from team members. Overseeing relationships with senior-level auditors and clients to ensure financial reporting meets their expectations and accurately depicts fund performance.
- Recruiting, directing, motivating, and developing staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth, and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team.
- Maintaining knowledge of the RR Donnelley’s FundSuite ARC financial reporting platforms, Confluence Unity, Bloomberg, and other necessary financial reporting systems.
- Managing a Fund Reporting area. Work is primarily accomplished through subordinate managers and is responsible for the achievement of the goals of a financial reporting area, talent management, and supervision of teams.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Very good understanding of the Asset Management/Asset Servicing Industry.
- Sound knowledge of U.K/US GAAP/IFRS and regulatory compliance including Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), or Central Bank of Ireland (CBI), or AIFMD, and EDGAR rules is required.
- Qualified CA, CPA, CFA, ACCA, MBA Finance, or Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
- 10+ years of total work experience with at least 3-4 years of management experience.
