We're hiring Industrial Trainees (Finance Analyst Interns) across multiple teams in the Amazon India organization. The selected candidate(s) will get an opportunity to work closely with business and finance leaders to produce and deliver financial analysis that would facilitate decision making. The candidate would be working with key stakeholders in one of our various business lines such as Amazon.in, Prime Video, Amazon Pay, and Amazon Transport Services in functions such as internal audit, business finance, accounting, and financial planning.

Key job responsibilities:

- Perform financial reporting, ad-hoc business analyses, and financial modeling.

- Evaluate all price-leading and price-matching promotions done by the business team.

- Facilitate financial review meetings with business groups and work with business managers to ensure effective finance and cost management.

- Work closely with business managers to drive down inefficient costs and optimize spending.

- Manage the financial planning and analysis effort, using the key input levers to the business.

- Develop ad hoc business analyses and present recommendations to senior management on strategic decisions and planned future initiatives.

- Establish and maintain operating and business metrics.

- Facilitate Business reviews with data analysis and follow through with business leaders on actionable items for improving business metrics over time.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

- 1+ years of finance experience

- 2+ years of Accounts Receivable or Account Payable experience

- 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

- Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL, and VBA skills

- Experience using data to influence business decisions

- Experience in corporate finance including budgeting/planning, forecasting, and reporting

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

- Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse, and SQL
