This position will report to Manager.The Sr. Associate - Manufacturing Accounting is responsible for: • Ensures the financial records of the plant(s) are reflecting actual operations and status of the plant.• Monitor and review material standard costs for the allotted locations• Undertake system corrections, investigate and analyze major cost and yield variances.• Perform finance sign off for newly created or extended materials via SAP workflow.• Complete the month end closing process.• Monitor and review plant/warehouse fixed and variable costs on a monthly basis and prepare appropriate management reports.• Prepare monthly variance analysis of actual plant performance against plan and previous year.• Ensure inventory valuation and slow moving/obsolete goods provisions are stated in accordance with Ashland Policies and US GAAP.• Develop close working relationships with local plant and /or warehouse managers.• Provide information to assist in internal and/or external audit processes.• Prepare annual plant fixed cost budgets and target CPU's• Prepare regular forecasts with detailed explanations of deviations from plans and targets. Report on PIO's.• Provide support to plant managers and business management when required.• Be pro-active in analysis and challenge plant performance.• Any other Ad-hoc tasks assigned by line manager.Education/Experience:• Experience: 4 to 7 years of accounting experience in Manufacturing Cost analysis and closing and reportingTechnical Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):• Bachelor's degree, majored in Finance or Accounting• SAP, Tally or Oracle system experience• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office• Good verbal and written communication in English• Good Comprehension and analytical skills• Detail and result oriented• Dedicated & positive thinking• Ability to work on own and as part of a team.Expected Behaviors• Attention to detail,• well-organized,• Result oriented,• Quick learner,• Priority setting.In more than 100 countries, the people of Ashland LLC.
