Position: Manager – Accounting
Function: Finance
Reporting to: Senior Manager / Service Delivery Leader
Job Scope
- Process management, regular interaction, and performance reviews with the team.
- Ensure successful delivery of operations and metrics globally.
- Deep accounting knowledge on Payroll & Benefits accounting, as well as core accounting at regional & country levels, including exposure to controllership requirements.
- Liaise with corporate team, local finance & controllers frequently.
- Understanding of Pay & Benefits accounting, audits, documentation, confidentiality, and Key Controls.
Roles and Responsibilities
Managing Global Pay and Benefits Accounting Process:
- Review employee-related liabilities accounting treatment.
- Provide guidance to the team on specific process/accounting queries.
- Hold discussions with various Regional Controllers, Corporate Policy Teams, Strategic and Operational Leaders.
- Work with Internal/External auditors and ensure satisfactory audit planning and execution of the various aspects of Internal Controls activities within the team.
Driving Policy Compliance through Governance Activities:
- Educate the team about relevant accounting applicable policies.
- Guide the team towards adherence to policies through periodic reviews – such as Monthly reconciliations MJEV, SOD VIRSA etc.
- Prepare and report process key metrics to senior stakeholders.
- Act as the owner and highlight accounting challenges proactively to relevant stakeholders and work towards a solution.
Team Engagement:
- Ensure appropriate trainings are imparted to the team as per the needs on a timely basis.
- Plan/Take part in Team Engagement Activities.
- Strive for the team’s growth and development.
Qualifications & Attributes Needed
- Preferably, Chartered Accountant with overall 8+ years of experience, of which a minimum of 3-5 years of Team management experience.
- Experience in the fields of Core Accounting, Controls, and exposure to some Global processes.
- Versatility and capability to handle multiple tasks and challenges.
- Good analytical skills and communication skills.
- Comfortable working in shifts.
