A Little Bit About the Role:
Responsible for the intercompany accounting process and contributing towards the accurate and timely Group Consolidation processes. You enjoy working in a fast-paced, complex environment that is constantly changing due to the growth of the business. The Group Accountant - Intercompany will report to the Senior Group Finance Manager and will work closely with the Group Head of Reporting and the Group Finance Team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
What You'll be Doing:
- Management of Group intercompany processes
- Main liaison with the 60+ business units within the IIG group to manage the intercompany process with the Inside Ideas Group.
- Main liaison with the 15+ entities from other Investor's portfolio of group companies to manage the intercompany process with the wider Group.
- Responsible for monitoring the intercompany process for both P&L and BS across the group and working with Group Accountant - Financial Reporting to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Responsible for managing all the 60+ entities within the Inside Ideas Group to generate, maintain and control the intercompany confirmation process.
- Work with the finance systems team to create standard intercompany exception reports.
- Responsible for ensuring intercompany mismatches are resolved in a timely manner.
- Responsible for global communication regarding intercompany submissions, variance analysis and intercompany differences.
Group Reporting:
- Work with Group Accountant - Financial Reporting and Senior Group Finance Manager to ensure all intercompany eliminations are completed during the Group consolidation process.
Parent Company Reporting:
- Responsible for ensuring all intercompany reports are prepared for submission to parent company on monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting basis.
- Working with Group Accountant - Financial Reporting and Senior Group Finance Manager to ensure all submissions and reports are reconciled to group consolidation workings and supporting documentation.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist Group Finance team on other accounting and finance processes (including but not limited to budgeting and forecasting, balance sheet reviews) as required.
- Support Senior Group Finance Manager and wider group finance team on accounting and finance projects.
What You'll Need:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA)
- Highly computer literate - Advanced Excel skills; comfortable dealing with complex formulas and large data sets.
- Adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with senior finance members.
- High attention to detail.
