Senior Financial Analyst - Business Finance
In the Commercial Org and CO Finance Team, we manage spend planning, budgeting, forecasting, actuals tracking, analysing, decision-making, tracking transformation savings, and return on investments. We also provide business and financial consulting, drive process improvements, digital transformation, and ensure process compliance. Currently, we are looking for an aspiring Senior Financial Analyst with great enthusiasm to learn and contribute to Finance Planning, Analytics, and Transformation.
Main responsibilities are:
- Provides highly complex financial analysis, typically exercising a strong understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving organizational objectives.
- Drive strong financial results and be a key player to contribute to the best capacity on behalf of the team.
- Revenue Recognition as per accounting principle.
- Strong executive presence and representation of the team in Management forums.
- Financial planning and forecasting including long-term planning.
- Lead monthly forecast reviews.
- Track the T1/T2 Inventory and WOS.
- Working as a business partner and trusted Finance advisor in terms of taxation matters like GST.
- Analyzing month's performance in all parameters of revenue and cost, providing a Story Behind the Numbers to Business teams as well as to CO finance teams.
- Month end spend variance analysis (Budget vs Actual/Flash vs Actual/Expected exit vs Actual).
- Story behind the numbers.
- Project Management and process improvements.
- Automation Knowledge (PowerBI, Macro).
- Working with the business for deciding SKU wise margin and pricing model for the categories to ensure category profitability.
- Working and approval of SKU wise and channel wise pricing and influence pricing decisions with the Business.
- End to End GTM profitability analysis for Commercial business and sharing with Management on Region wise profitability as well.
- Business Insights in terms of SKU level, Platform Level, Account level analysis, Air-Sea Mix, GTM level.
- Ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
- Lead, design and improve financial analysis to drive better business and financial results.
- Provides information and counsel in the areas of controls, planning, return on investment decisions, and the development of overall business plans and strategies.
- Provides mentoring and guidance to analysts.
Education and Experience Required:
- First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CA, MBA) preferred.
- Typically 12+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
- Typically experienced in multiple finance functions.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Superior understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in multiple areas.
- Superior analytical skills.
- Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
