Job Summary:

- Act as a Team Member on assigned audit work involving Information and Cyber Security across the Group.

- Act as Team Leader, overseeing planning and execution of audits, maintaining the audit budget, and drafting audit issues and reports.

- Ensure assigned audit work is executed efficiently and effectively within budget and timelines, in line with GIA methodology standards.

- Clearly explain risks and impact of issues identified during testing to GIA and business management.

- Support department-wide exercises such as annual planning, risk assessment, and training.

- Actively manage relationships with senior auditee management and stakeholders.

- Provide Information and Cyber Security knowledge and expertise to GIA audit teams.

- Offer continuous monitoring support to Heads of Audit (HOAs) and Senior Audit Managers (SAMs) and present at formal committees and Group meetings on their behalf.

- Ensure that all audit issue action plans are tracked through to completion as per methodology requirements.

Responsibilities:

Strategy:

- Support the HOA and SAMs in GIA risk assessment and audit plan development.

- Propose audits for coverage based on business knowledge.

- Carry out the role independently, in line with the Audit Charter.

Business:

- Assist the HOA in managing the cost of assigned audits within allocated budget.

- Identify opportunities for efficiencies in audit work.

Processes:

- Participate as team member or leader for assigned audit work, potentially leading complex audits.

- Ensure audit deliverables meet quality standards and timelines in line with the GIA methodology.

- Assist in the drafting of the audit report.

- Track and ensure the implementation of agreed issues and action plans.

Risk Assessment:

- Support the HOA in updating relevant risk assessments regularly.

- Be prepared to raise issues outside the normal audit process.

- Attend relevant meetings as requested by the HOA.

- Review MI and reports regularly to stay updated on key business trends.

Stakeholder Management:

- Establish and maintain effective relationships with business units under risk assessment responsibility.

People & Talent:

- Demonstrate proactivity and positive engagement during team sessions.

- Influence departmental change by highlighting potential enhancements.

- Identify and work on growth areas during audits.

- Complete key internal training for self-development.

- Support the HOA in spotting talent for GIA.

Risk Management:

- Manage risk in accordance with Risk Management policies.

Governance:

- Assist HOA in managing relevant Product/Country clients and maintain good working relationships.

- Ensure clear communication of findings and timely escalation of unresolved audit findings.

Regulatory & Business Conduct:

- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.

- Take responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics across Standard Chartered Bank.

- Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters.

Key Stakeholders:

- Designated business stakeholders related to individual audit assignments and Information and Cyber Security portfolio.

- GIA stakeholders – team leaders, team members, team managers, Product, Functional, Country, and Regional Heads of Audit.

Other Responsibilities:

- Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in GIA.

- Perform other responsibilities as assigned under Group, Country, Business, or Functional policies and procedures.

Role-Specific Technical Competencies:

- In-depth understanding of Information and Cyber Security risk management and associated control requirements.

- Strong communicator, both written and verbal, able to clearly explain controls and risks.

- Proactive, self-directed, and able to work independently.

- Exercise professional judgment, objectivity, and discretion.

Qualifications:

- Experience in audit, governance, risk, or business environment.

- Professional audit and Information and Cyber Security-related certification preferred.
