About the Role:
As Accountant - EMEA, you will work closely with the Regional Financial Controller to implement best-in-class standard processes and controls across all legal entities in the EMEA. You will also build out KPIs and drive an efficient, continuous improvement culture. Collaborating closely with the Director of Finance, FP&I, and local management teams, you will be someone with a keen interest in implementing various accounting-related projects.
*Please note that there is a possibility that in this role the successful candidate will have to work in a shift from 12.30 pm IST to 9.30 pm IST.
Main Responsibilities:
- Own and manage the month-end process for all entities in line group timetables.
- Review and report the financial results for all entities.
- Conduct monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations.
- Ensure all regulatory, legal, statutory, and tax reporting requirements for all entities are met, including facilitating both local and group audits.
- Work alongside sales managers to ensure revenue is correctly captured and accounted for in line with group accounting policy.
- Identify and implement process improvements relating to both the efficiency and accuracy of financial processes as well as improvements to the financial control environment.
- Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts at year-end for all entities.
- Preparation of Tax Packs at year-end for all entities.
- Assist the group FP&I team in the production and review of the annual budgets and forecasts.
- Work alongside the wider finance team to ensure group processes and procedures are followed.
- Work with the broader Cyncly community to provide a best-in-class service to our customers, particularly nurturing a strong working relationship between the finance team and key stakeholders in non-finance departments.
- Support the M&A team in integrating new entities into the region and ultimately taking financial ownership of those entities in line with other entities in the region.
- Work with the legal team to optimize the group structure.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- ACA/ACCA or equivalent qualified accountant with at least 4 years of experience.
- Demonstrated experience in preparing statutory accounts.
- Experience in preparing management accounts, month-end reporting, and closing procedures.
- Solid financial reporting and technical skills.
- Demonstrable analytical skills along with the ability to create and present detailed reports.
- Strong planning skills, well-organized and attention to detail.
- Experience in a global, multi-cultural environment.
- Ideally practice trained with a couple of years of industry experience.
