Logistics Finance Analyst
Description
The supply chain finance team is seeking a motivated and skilled financial analyst to support APJ Business. In the Logistics Finance organization, you will be responsible for accounting/reporting and managing costs incurred during product movement from factory to end customer and work with operations and market finance to provide related support. Supply chain involves a variety of processes and cost types such as logistics, duties, inventory-driven costs, end-of-life, and recycling costs. This is a great opportunity to understand HP's global logistics network, get to know Freight Forwarders worldwide, and follow macroeconomic trends for the freight market. As a Logistics Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for:
- Ownership of dedicated countries logistics PnL
- Performing month-end closure activities, including complex accrual calculation, journal entries, IC billing, etc.
- Performing cost variance root-cause analysis, trend analytics, and sharing business narratives during MEC
- Performing balance sheet reconciliations, with utmost compliance and outlining highlights/risks
- Data mining, issue resolutions, and building stories behind the numbers
- Keeping close engagement with market analysts, logistics operations, procurement, PMO, TRAX & FCM teams, etc.
- Providing invoicing/accrual process definitions and working towards necessary system setups
- Providing complex financial analysis for logistics costs to support and influence decision-making
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and policy development
- SQL database management, archiving, and retrieving big data using SQL/Hyperion queries
- Supporting international freight accounting/reporting, accounting FDE, and GCA

- Strong analytical and business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI)
- Typically, 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst
