About Fixed Income Division (FID) Team

The Fixed Income division is comprised of interest rate and currency products, credit products, and distribution. Professionals in the division assess and actively manage risk, trade securities, and structure as well as execute innovative transactions in the fast-paced and constantly changing global markets.

FID COO Support – NY

The role is based out of Mumbai and requires working with the NY FID COO Team. The role will require a fast-learning, dynamic, proactive, and self-motivated person to assist the team in maintaining, tracking, and analyzing business profitability.

Planning, Analysis & Reporting

- Optimizing business performance reporting and planning (P&L, Capital, Expenses, etc.).

- Analyzing revenue, interactions, and headcount on a regular and ad-hoc basis.

- Preparing regular revenue and other business performance reports for senior management highlighting performance and momentum.

- Assisting in presentations for senior management on performance metrics and key initiatives.

- Maintaining and updating client tier, segmentation, and coverage details.

COO Support

- Supporting global/regional COOs on project initiatives with designing, coordination, and follow-up.

- Working closely with COOs on key initiatives in managing and planning the business (strategic/operational/functional/IT).

- Preparing business performance deep dive packs for senior management meetings.

- Providing competitor benchmarking analysis to senior sales managers.

Collaboration

- Supporting the Sales and Trading desks.

- Working with IT developers on report production and enhancements.

- Liaising with Finance, Senior Relationship Managers, to ensure delivery of key business objectives and projects.

- Collaborating with Controllers, IT, Risk, and other support groups to improve management reporting on a regular basis, and wherever possible, automate and standardize the existing reporting structure.

- Working closely with BU Risk Management on Non-Market Risk initiatives and daily management.

Qualifications

- MBA/PGDM (Finance) from reputed institutes.

- Experience in operations or as a product controller for fixed income products.

- Familiarity with Fixed Income products (Rates, Bonds, Credit, Foreign Exchange, Commodities) will be advantageous.

- Strong proficiency with Microsoft products, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand complex workflows.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate objectives, requirements, risks, and issues to senior management and other stakeholders.

- Good organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail.

- Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor.

- Willingness and eagerness to learn and work with different teams and divisions of the Firm.

- Strong motivation - a self-starter with a positive outlook and desire to solve problems.

- Ability to identify and escalate issues effectively and appropriately.
