**Job summary**
- Ensuring the daily internal controls are monitored and complied with.
- Assist in monitoring the books of account to ensure that they reflect a consistent and accurate view of transactions conducted by the bank on a timely basis.
- Ensure Head Office reporting is done in an organized, scheduled, and qualitative manner.
- Coordinate with Statutory & HO limited review Auditors for timely completion of audits.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement necessary improvements and enhancements to control processes.
- Coordinate and facilitate internal and external audits pertaining to financial controls.
- Monitor local and overseas bank reconciliations and suspense accounts.
- Ensure all procedures and policies are updated regularly in sync with the process defined by the Organization.
- Undertake specific projects as delegated by the Head of Accounting & Regulatory.
**Main duties**
- Ensuring daily and monthly accounting and system controls are reviewed, measured, justified, and validated.
- Ensure Head office reporting is done in an organized, scheduled, and qualitative manner.
- Booking of monthly accruals of Intergroup transactions in line with Agreements and Budget.
- Quarterly invoicing related to the settlement of the amounts accrued.
- Identify potential risks related to financial processes and controls and develop mitigation strategies.
- Perform comprehensive financial reviews to assess the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and reports.
- Prepare audit documentation, respond to audit inquiries, and address findings in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with extant regulations related to the position and maintain a broad view of the financial landscape.
- Carry out other monthly controls related to Permanent Control, Compliance Reporting Systems, Accruals, Positions, Fixed Assets control, etc.
- Ensure all finance procedure documents are updated at regular intervals through comprehensive reviews in liaison with the concerned stakeholders.
