Job Title: Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Engineering, or other relevant field (Required)
- Advanced Degree in Business (Preferred)
- Tier 1 MBA (Strongly Preferred)
Responsibilities:
Problem and Scope Definition:
- Provide primary support for the formulation of problem statements and the definition of scope for assigned areas.
- Work independently to identify the root cause of issues.
- Collaborate with engagement management to define the work scope in the context of larger projects.
- Construct problem statements including problem descriptions, affected parties, benefits, and implications of leaving the problem unsolved.
- Support the identification of project risks and mitigation strategies.
Requirements Gathering:
- Demonstrate exceptional requirement gathering techniques with minimal direction.
- Design, conduct, and facilitate requirements sessions.
- Organize and sequence requirements into a user requirements document.
- Write well-formed, validated requirements and manage changes.
- Use appropriate tools to record, track, and manage requirements.
Business Analysis:
- Review and analyze relevant documentation to understand an organization's function and capabilities.
- Conduct research to develop comprehensive solutions.
- Serve as a liaison between stakeholders by understanding the client's structure, policies, and operations.
- Structure recommendations and supporting data to formulate solid, logical, and understandable business cases.
- Utilize appropriate business modeling techniques to represent and graphically depict activities, processes, and data, including business process modeling, process flow modeling, and data flow modeling.
Engagement Delivery:
- Deliver exceptional engagement support.
- Develop and manage project plans as needed.
- Identify and manage engagement risks within the area of responsibility.
- Develop high-quality deliverables that are "client-ready" on the first attempt.
- Share ongoing viewpoints and perspectives based on experience and expertise.
- Exhibit strong listening and communication skills when interacting with clients and teams.
Engagement Governance:
- Develop governance and communication plans to facilitate smooth project delivery.
- Provide engagement leads with frequent updates through written and verbal communications.
- Track and escalate project risks and issues effectively.
Thought Leadership:
- Independently research industry trends to support innovative ideas and opinions.
- Contribute to the research, development, and authoring of consulting materials, such as articles and whitepapers.
Business Development:
- Support RFI/RFP responses and other business development opportunities as needed.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders.
- Be recognized as a go-to resource that clients want to bring back for future engagements.
Practice Development:
- Draw conclusions from market/industry trends and client experiences to design and build new service offerings.
- Support service line development and case studies by gathering industry best practices.
Revenue Management:
- Ensure personal utilization targets are achieved by working standard hours and seeking new opportunities ahead of the current engagement’s end.
Knowledge Management:
- Assist in creating client and practice-related materials to contribute to Cognizant's knowledge management repository.
People Management:
- Support recruitment for campus candidates through pre-placement discussions.
- Help onboard and mentor junior associates, supporting their ongoing development.
- Be recognized as a leader among peers.
