Responsibilities

- Submission of P&L, Forecast month-end P&L liaising with the wider finance team and business COOs.

- Perform deal review and approve fee recognition based on IFRS9 and IFRS 15 principles.

- Ensure appropriate controls and reviews are maintained for Daily P&L production, Core reconciliations, Month-end close, and BSRS.

- Substantiate daily and monthly adjustments held in P&L and control accounts.

- Guide and train team members to ensure adherence to controls.

- Review monthly balance sheet with substantiation and potential financial exposure.

- Prepare various reconciliation reports, management packs, and adhoc reports.

- Post and review month-end Journals for accrual, provision, and true-up.

- Ensure the highest standards are maintained by the team.

- Ensure adherence to SLA's, KPI's, Internal metrics & FMG wide policies.

- Identify and manage risk and control breakdowns.

- Develop and maintain effective and standard processes, including KOP's/DI's.

- Support change project initiatives and conduct User Acceptance Testing for system enhancements or migration to new systems.

- Produce monthly packs and assist in implementing sound controls and consistent processes around monthly packs.

- Balance Sheet & RWA forecast for Corporate Finance.

- Client Analytics – Understand client performance, relationship, and resource consumption.

- Produce and validate CF scorecards for measuring business performance.

- Provide bespoke analysis surrounding ledger and client balances to help achieve business targets.

People & Talent

- Lead by example and build the appropriate culture and values.

- Ensure ongoing training and development of team members.

- Engage and retain high-quality employees, with succession planning for critical roles.

- Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports, and provide feedback and rewards in line with performance.

Regulatory & Business Conduct

- Display exemplary conduct and live by the organization's Values and Code of Conduct.

- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and the Group Code of Conduct.

- Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters collaboratively.

Key Stakeholders

- Act as a point of reference for the asset class.

- Regular interaction with Business, Product Control Management, Regional finance team, and other internal stakeholders.

- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and support teams (IT, Operations, and Risk).

Qualifications

- CA or MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution.

- 6+ years of experience with the most recent 3 years in product control.

- Good understanding of Accounting and Financial Markets products.

- Strong analytical skills and experience with PeopleSoft financials, SAP, MS Office & MS SQL.

- Strong control mindset.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
