Job Summary:

This role is within the Corporate and Investment Banking business (CIB). The CIB business has a global footprint with annual revenues exceeding USD 11 billion and risk-weighted assets around USD 140 billion. The asset portfolio includes a wide variety of financial instruments. The Business Performance Operations finance team supports CFOs by providing financial insights, tracking progress of strategic initiatives, and managing performance. The incumbent is expected to have a forward-looking mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategy:

- Build and execute strategic actions in collaboration with stakeholders to drive business performance aligned with the Bank’s strategic priorities.

- Build a strong team with future-ready skills and instill excellence in the organizational DNA.

- Drive global standard, optimized service offerings through high-performance Business Finance teams.

Business:

- Serve as an effective Finance Business Partner responsible for delivering performance metrics.

- Provide standard Performance MI with insights on current performance.

- Conduct analytics and deep dives on business performance to drive consistent and sustainable improvements.

Processes:

- Act as the Functional owner of the FP&A process, preparing forecasting and planning material using forecasting techniques.

- Drive continuous process improvement for efficiency and better control in all FP&A activities.

- Collaborate with other Business Performance leads to ensure delivery of standard and consistent MI across CIB.

People & Talent:

- Lead, inspire, and motivate teams to achieve their potential and deliver the team's collective agenda.

- Enhance the overall culture of the organization through targeted actions and improved My Voice scores.

- Build and execute a People Engagement strategy to improve overall employee well-being.

- Employ, engage, and retain high-quality talent, with succession planning for critical roles.

- Set SMART objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards based on performance.

Risk Management:

- Represent BPO in Service Review engagements with CFOs, providing management insights and addressing CFO-level actions.

- Minimize operational loss and audit failures, responding proactively to emerging risks.

- Establish and maintain frameworks and procedures for monitoring, identifying, measuring, assessing, reporting, and managing risks.

Governance:

- Build and review governance frameworks around standard MI, internal controls, and policy adherence.

Regulatory & Business Conduct:

- Display exemplary conduct and live by the code of conduct.

- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines, and the Group Code of Conduct.

- Lead to achieve outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles (Fair Outcomes for Clients, Effective Financial Markets, Financial Crime Compliance, The Right Environment).

- Identify, escalate, mitigate, and resolve risk, conduct, and compliance matters.

Other Responsibilities:

- Embed the "Here for good" slogan and the Group’s brand and values in the Fin Operations Business Performance Team.

Qualifications:

- MBA, CA, CFA, ACCA with a minimum of 4 years of experience in the financial services industry.

- Strong business interface ability to connect macroeconomics with P&L and Balance Sheet.

- Up-to-date knowledge of current and ongoing trends in global markets.

- Experience in leading multiple initiatives in Banking business finance (e.g., RWA management, balance sheet management).

- Strong analytical skills and ability to make decisions.

- Excellent business judgment, operational control management, and risk assessment.

- Experience in change and program management with self-awareness to adopt varying approaches.

- Results-oriented with exceptional energy and ambition.

- Strong executive stakeholder management capability.
