Job Description:

We are hiring an experienced Lead Data Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Data Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions by collaborating with various teams, including analytical, UX, data engineering, and information architects. Your expertise in articulating requirements, scoping improvements, and ensuring data governance will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality technical specifications for our Agile Scrum team.

Responsibilities:

- Write technical stories from a data analyst perspective at the level of granularity of table mapping, business rules, and impacted downstream changes as per business requirements.

- Basic understanding of how stored procedures and functions work.

- Good understanding of data elements, data mapping, validation rules, and data cleansing.

- Perform impact analysis on changes to various data elements.

- Clear understanding of data governance.

- Basic knowledge of ETL processes, understanding the source and target systems with relevant business transformations.

- Holistic view on DML aspects to ensure consistency across various source & target systems.

- Document user stories in alignment with external teams like Data Stewards & Information Architects and explain these to developers.

- Exposure to an agile way of working.

- Participate in the scoping of proposed improvements and work with Content Managers, Product Managers, or other Project Managers to turn business requirements into actionable developer specifications.

- Mitigate risk while owning tasks, resources, and changes.

- Work independently to provide for data transformation, testing, problem-solving, and end-to-end user support needs.

- Advanced SQL skills to write custom queries.

- Familiar with a variety of field concepts, practices, and procedures.

- Prepare data models, data flow diagrams, and ETL specifications; participate in architecture review meetings.

- Create/extend business requirements into rules and mapping artifacts.

Requirements:

- 10 to 17 years of overall experience.

- Experience playing a Business Analyst role for an Agile Scrum team accountable for delivering high-quality technical requirements.

- Ability to dig into technical details surrounding product requirements and specifications.

- Collaboration with Data Stewards & Information Architects to ensure data governance.
