Job Title: Service Delivery Lead / Head - Finance and Accounts (F&A)

Description:

Role: Service Delivery Lead / Head - Finance and Accounts (F&A)

Financial Planning and Analysis

- Lead the development of adequate budgeting and financial planning frameworks, models, and tools, to be implemented across the GCC and ensure its communication to relevant stakeholders.

- Facilitate the development of the GCC annual budget in collaboration with the leadership, while ensuring alignment with the overall strategy and objectives, expected revenues/costs, and capital investment; consolidate and submit it for review and approval.

- Lead the review of each vertical's historical budget performance and identify areas for improvement as well as cost optimization opportunities.

- Communicate the allocation of approved budgets to various functions in alignment with strategic direction.

- Monitor budget expenditures to ensure targeted and effective use of resources, address overruns with relevant functions as required, and escalate to leadership as necessary.

- Develop regular financial management performance reports as well as financial analysis & forecasts for the leadership to report achievements against KPIs, identify gaps and variances, recommend improvements, and enable strategic decision-making.

- Track and ensure cash flow is optimized and sustainable for the organisation's operation.

- Develop and prepare regulatory reports as required for the GCC to ensure compliance with ongoing and new regulatory reporting requirements.

Accounting and Taxation Management

- Direct the execution of all accounting activities to ensure that all financial transactions and fixed assets are accurately registered according to local and international accounting standards.

- Ensure that the accounting operations are adhered to the group policies and procedures, and that adequate internal control is implemented in the GCC accounting system.

- Ensure book-keeping, transaction processing, and financial closure on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis in a timely manner.

- Manage investigations into the mismatches of bank reconciliations/balance sheet reconciliations, follow-up on the underlying causes, and resolve the issues.

- Oversee the optimal accounting of invoices, account receivables, and payables for the GCC to ensure efficient processing and management of collecting receivables, distribution of payables as well as efficient documentation, analysis, and reconciliation of relevant data and accounts.

- Manage the processes of the GCC's tax calculations, documentation, and payments to ensure compliance with government regulations and the group policies and procedures.

- Oversee timely and accurate preparation and filing of tax returns.

- Develop and maintain strong and updated understanding of local tax regulations to ensure compliance and minimization of tax risk.

- Coordinate with auditors on behalf of the GCC and ensure compliance with all relevant finance laws, rules, regulations, statutory reporting, and disclosure requirements.

Profile:

Educational Qualification:

- Chartered Accountant.

Experiences:

- 12-15 years of experience with 5 years in a leadership or managerial role in Accounting and Financial Controller functions in diversified GCC/GBS/SSC environments.

- Prior experience of setting up an F&A team for multi-functional capability centres.

- Proven track record of delivering impactful insights and recommendations based on data analysis.

- Experience in developing and implementing financial and accounting systems and processes in a multi-business multi-functional capability centre preferable.

- Experience in working with automated accounting systems.

- Comprehensive working knowledge of legislative and reporting frameworks/procedures and applicable regulations.
