Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a collateral management professional who understands the entire flow of the stock lending process to ensure that collateral is delivered/received as per the terms and conditions agreed upon with our customers for equity products.

The team you will be joining is part of State Street Global Markets, one of the largest asset managers in the world, providing services to governments, institutions, and financial advisors. The team is responsible for managing the collateral that State Street is lending to customers on equity products. Additionally, as a 3rd party lending agent, State Street takes on additional responsibilities to manage stock position movement accordingly.

What you will be responsible for:

- Daily loan and loan processing

- Exposure management

- Mark to market reconciliations

- Executing cash movements

- Monitoring process exceptions throughout the day

- Management of transactions/trades between State Street and various 3rd party custodians

- Ensuring all trades/trade instructions are settled/cancelled and fixing any breaks that occur between State Street and custodians

- Agreeing daily collateral margin, coordinating instructions to deliver/receive collateral with brokers, and reconciling daily net cash movements

- Completing daily EOD balancing, KPI checks, ensuring market activity is correctly reflected in the firm’s books and records (DML)

- Assisting in driving various firm and team initiatives including Operational Efficiencies and Controls, improving the risk and control environment, and maintaining procedures

- Monitoring various queues and remediating short positions to ensure trade instructions reach the market on time

- Checking and monitoring the safekeeping position of third-party clients

- Proficient use of tools like SWIFT MCH/Global One

- Staying updated on market changes and ready to accept challenges

- Communicating with the Trading Desk, Borrowers, and Counterparties to remediate issues

- Booking trades and sending BESS/SWIFT instructions to facilitate loans and clear safekeeping

- Liaising with third-party custodians and borrowers to settle hybrid loans

- Diligently following and maintaining SOPs

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

- University degree in Business majoring in Accounting, Finance, or other Financial-related programs

- Overall experience of 3+ years in the finance industry, familiarity with securities operations preferable securities lending activities.
