Who we are looking for:

We are looking for a collateral management and claims processing professional who understands the entire flow of the stock lending process to ensure that collateral is delivered/received as per the terms and conditions agreed upon with our customers for in-scope equity products.

The team is responsible for managing the collateral that State Street is lending to their customers on equity products. As a 3rd party lending agent, State Street also manages the stock position movement accordingly. What you will be responsible for:

- Daily activities include loan and loan processing, exposure management, mark-to-market reconciliations, executing cash movements, and monitoring process exceptions throughout the day.

- Manage transactions/trades between State Street and various 3rd party custodians.

- Ensure all trades/trade instructions are settled/cancelled and fix any breaks that occur between State Street and custodians.

- Agree daily collateral margin, coordinate instructions to deliver/receive collateral with brokers, and reconcile daily net cash movements.

- Complete daily end-of-day balancing, ensuring market activity is correctly reflected in the firm’s books and records (DML).

- Assist in driving various firm and team initiatives including Operational Efficiencies and Controls, improving the risk and control environment, and maintaining procedures.

- Monitor various queues and remediate short positions to ensure trade instructions reach the market on time.

- Check and monitor the safekeeping position of third-party clients.

- Basic understanding of tools like SWIFT, MCH/Global One.

- Communicate with Trading Desk, Borrowers, and Counterparties to remediate issues.

- Liaise with third-party custodian and borrower to settle claims and penalties.

- Diligently follow and maintain SOPs.

- Candidate should have good MS Excel skills.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

- University degree in Business majoring in Accounting, Finance, or other financial-related programs.

- Overall experience of 2+ years in the finance industry, familiarity with securities operations preferable securities lending activities.
