Regulatory Reporting Professional
The Regulatory Reporting team is responsible for ensuring that SSGM meets its self-imposed and delegated reporting obligations under EMIR, MiFID, CFTC, and SFTR. The team ensures accurate reporting of FX and SF transactions from various trading venues.
Position Overview:
A job in regulatory reporting at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) involves ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to derivatives and other financial products. The primary responsibility of a regulatory reporting professional is to collect, analyze, and report trading data in a timely and accurate manner. This includes reviewing and verifying transaction data to ensure it meets regulatory requirements and working with traders and other stakeholders to resolve any discrepancies with SFTR, EMIR, and MiFID reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and submitting regulatory reports in accordance with established timelines
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to trade reporting
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and external counterparties to resolve reporting issues
- Performing daily review of reportable trades to ensure compliance with reporting regulations, including the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of reported data
- Working proactively with Business operation teams, Compliance, IT, and standard industry systems like Tri-Resolve, DTCC, GTR, DUCO, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency in transaction reporting
- Tracking and monitoring potential onboarding issues and delays, and responding to queries regarding the status of specific requests or new clients
- Identifying potential compliance issues
- Staying updated on regulatory changes and implementing necessary adjustments to reporting processes
- Meeting agreed SLA's and KPI's to ensure consistent quality in client delivery
- Contributing to process improvement initiatives and highlighting potential process risks to managers
- Understanding reconciliations and responding to client queries on reconciliation breaks
- Timely escalation of material issues to Senior Management
- Ensuring trades that fall out of the STP process are highlighted, tracked, and remediated where appropriate
- Participating in all aspects of regulatory changes required, from regulation changes to new implementations concerning systems, to UAT testing, ensuring a complete front-to-back understanding of the regulatory processing
Skills and Expertise:
- Effective and accurate communication in English
- Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Team player with the ability to work on own initiative
- Self-motivated, flexible, and personable
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other software packages
- Strong interpersonal skills and understanding of the global financial industry
- Knowledge of SFTR, EMIR, and MiFID regulatory reporting would be advantageous
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of financial products, derivatives markets, and trading strategies
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements and data analysis tools
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- Several years of relevant work experience
- Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or FRM may be beneficial
- MBA, B.COMMS

06:00 PM to 03:00 AM
