Position: Global Cash Operation Associate
Responsibilities:
- Understand settlement processes and analyze activities of clearing houses (DTC, DTCC, CREST, Euroclear) to ensure proper pre & post settlements.
- Analyze fax and electronic instructions from sales and trading desks, validating them with static data, and understand reconciliation and enrichment processes.
- Collaborate with team members, shared services, and Client Operations to ensure seamless processing according to fund policies.
- Familiarize with backup procedures during system/application issues and support research, exception resolution, and prime broker relationship management.
- Identify unusual or potentially suspicious transactions and escalate according to corporate policies and guidelines.
- Work with internal settlements and reconciliation teams to ensure trade booking, capturing, validation, and enrichment activities comply with market guidelines and cut-offs.
- Understand Trade Life Cycle, ISITC, IFSA, TMPG, and GBP guidelines, and the claims process.
- Knowledgeable in NOSTRO and payment systems (MT202, Fed wire, CREST) and familiar with various Swift messages (MT299, 300, 199, 399, 546).
- Engage in client/counterparty/third-party calls and process improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with business-related coursework or B.S. degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum 4 years of related custody and/or fund accounting experience.
- Strong computer competence (Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel).
- Accuracy and detail-oriented.
- Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Ability to multi-task and work under pressure in a deadline-oriented environment.
