Functional Job Title: Billing Transformation - Conversion – Team Lead

Background:

State Street has established a Global Billing Function under Controllership, responsible for client billing setup and invoicing across all business lines and geographies globally. This combines all groups performing these activities and includes centers in Poland, India, and China. The Billing Organization handles business-as-usual activities and drives process improvements and automation.

Basic Purpose of Job:

If you aim to become a “go-to person” or “subject matter expert,” the State Street Billing setup team is the place for you. You will be part of the biggest re-engineering project in State Street Global Billing Transformation, providing subject matter expertise in end-to-end client billing setup and invoice creation.

Responsibilities & Tasks Include:

- Interpretation of complex fee schedules for different businesses

- Completion of high-quality deliverables within set timeframes

- Analysis of new client revenue arrangements

- Configuration of the client fee schedule in the billing platform

- Collection and quality control of raw data used in the billing process

- Engagement with Billing Transformation PMO to convert new clients and improve processes

- Monthly revenue waterfalls

- Self-review of reporting & analytics deliverables and presenting findings

- Fee schedule setup and maintenance review

- Participation in financial analyses on critical and complex issues

- Participation in or management of function-specific projects

- Development and updating of financial models for analysis

- Preparation of reports and presentation packages

Job Requirements:

Education and Experience:

- Master’s Degree in Finance, Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or MBA-Finance with 5-7 years of progressive experience in Billing areas with major financial institutions

- Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis in a global setting

- Experience in complex operational settings involving financial data analysis

- Direct support to business or product line management/executives

- Experience in the financial services setting

- Preparation of budgets for multinational companies

- Experience with multi-dimensional profitability (business, product, client)

- Project experience and variance analysis reporting

- Financial modeling and billing operations management

- Revenue accrual

Skills/Knowledge:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

- Detail-oriented with consistent and accurate execution against operational controls

- Adaptability to a changing environment and client transition demands

- Strong communication skills, capable of leading conference calls and presenting financial results

- Strong sense of ownership with the ability to drive results

- Solid business knowledge related to the financial services industry

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Visio), with advanced Excel skills

- Strong analytical skills

- Knowledge of financial products and institutions
