Job Title: Assistant Vice President, Asset Servicing-Income Accounting Verification
Company Overview:
Global Process Delivery is seeking a candidate to work as an AVP for the Asset Servicing-Income Accounting verification team. This position will oversee all Income verification teams and provide guidance and leadership.
Job Description:
Who We Are Looking For:
We are looking for a self-starter who is comfortable with uncertainty and deadline pressure and possesses knowledge of the asset management industry and the processes that support it.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end, including strategy development, execution, and reporting.
- Demonstrate excellent knowledge in Accrual and Amortization in the Fixed Income space.
- Collaborate with Business and Global Operations leads to identify resources required to support and deliver transition/change management projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and track the progress of project risks, issues, and dependencies, escalating them appropriately with suggested mitigation approaches.
- Represent Global Operations in Project meetings with clients and other business lines.
- Identify opportunities for product automation based on project timelines, service requirements, and products offered.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and associated communication documents.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders clearly and promptly.
- Estimate resources, timescales, and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, encouraging them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Understand, follow, and ensure compliance with all relevant internal policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with global teams to ensure consistent service delivery and client satisfaction.
- Identify, develop, and deploy process improvements to enhance service levels and reduce unit costs and operational risk.
What We Value:
- Proven track record of related/industry experience in Fund Accounting, Trade Settlements/Processing, Corporate Actions, Reconciliations, and Income Verification.
- 8-10+ years of experience in staff management and leading projects.
- Capability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Experience working in matrix structures and cross-cultural environments.
- Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills when dealing with customers (internal or external).
- Strong interpersonal and organization skills.
- Prior experience in developing executive communication is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of State Street systems/processes is preferred but not required.
Education & Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in a business discipline preferred or equivalent work experience.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
