Job Title: Payroll Services Manager
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the delivery of payroll services including operations and project support to entities in India in accordance with Company Service Level Agreements. The role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with legislation, company policy, and control procedures. The position requires the ability to work on various APAC HR and payroll-related projects and continuously look to improve the efficiency of day-to-day payroll operations through work process improvements.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage and administer the company payroll shared services.
- Ensure compliance and accuracy in monthly payroll activities.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of payroll.
- Overall responsibility for payroll processing and administration.
- Manage certain time-bound processes and ensure data validation is accurate and truthful.
- Ensure timelines are met for salary disbursement and statutory compliance.
- Ensure employee benefits, including employee reimbursements, are as per income tax rules and regulations.
- Responsible for value adds and payroll process standardization.
- Verify and reconcile monthly payroll.
- Prepare and submit monthly and annual statutory contributions.
- Steer year-end processing where applicable and ensure timely activities are met.
- Responsible for publishing the monthly payroll dashboard.
- Ensure monthly payroll provisions to finance.
- Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and escalate any discrepancies within governance timeframes.
- Demonstrate high professionalism and flexibility towards work assigned.
Essential Experience:
- 6+ years of payroll operation and administration experience for India.
- Working knowledge of statutory legislation and procedures relating to payroll.
- Experience in working on various HR and payroll projects.
- Working knowledge of a Payroll/HR system.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Resilience and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Deliver results with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
