Job Title: Senior Associate - Fund Financial Reporting
Job Purpose:
The selected candidate will provide end-to-end support to investment company clients, ensuring the timely preparation of financial statements, portfolio schedules, and associated mandatory reporting within stringent deadlines for audit/review and successful submission to the regulators. The role requires working in shifts that allow reasonable overlap with US, APAC, and EMEA hours for training and on-the-job practice.

The team you will be joining is part of State Street Global Services (SSGS), which offers asset owners and managers access to essential financial tools for effective investment solutions. SSGS provides a wide range of services including core custody, accounting, fund administration, shareholder recordkeeping, and operations solutions for alternative assets such as OTC derivatives, private equity, and real estate.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and perform first-level reviews on client financial statements, NQs, Form N-MFP, and other similar forms/activities. Assist with drafts and support distribution to clients and auditors, ensuring all deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
- Provide on-the-job training and coaching to staff, as well as performance feedback to managers for review.
- Manage risk by ensuring staff understands all Standard Operating Procedures, Key Controls, and Client Specific Procedures/Checklists.
- Estimate personnel needs, assign work, oversee short-term deliverables, coordinate workflow, maintain a working knowledge of overall process operating models, and assist with the deployment of operational changes.
- Ensure the team achieves accuracy and meets pre-determined deadlines.
- Implement all standard practices, processes, tools, and technology enhancements.
- Use automation effectively and recommend system enhancements.
- Participate in the research and resolution of client issues.
- Volunteer for ad-hoc projects and assist with last-minute requests.
- Resolve issues and prioritize actions in the absence of the direct manager.
- Assist in coordinating activities between multiple departments within the organization, including global offshoring partners.
- Draft and update task lists for offshoring partners, ensure all supporting documentation is available, and act as the primary contact to answer their questions.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in commerce, economics, or a related field, specializing in business, accounting, or finance.
- Professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, ACCA, or similar are preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS.
- Strong technology, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Leadership abilities within the team and among peers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, including time management.
- 4+ years of experience in fund financial reporting, accounting, or finance is preferred.
