Job Description
Senior Associate
What you will be responsible for:
As a Senior Associate, you will:
- Prepare and review complex federal, state, and city income and franchise tax returns. This includes handling source accounting data and making necessary adjustments to ensure tax compliance.
- Use Excel proficiently to create and audit work papers.
- Coordinate the daily operational efforts of the staff to ensure timely and accurate reporting while adhering to tax compliance laws.
- Review state and city license fee forms, compliance packages, and complex distribution analyses.
- Collaborate with Fund Administration to develop tax and regulatory compliance documents for reporting to regulatory agencies, Board of Directors, and fund officers.
- Act as a liaison between State Street Bank, external audit firms, and regulatory agencies.
- Respond to queries and justify adjustments made with appropriate supporting work papers.
- Format and compile information for audit and tax work papers and tax returns.
- Oversee assigned Tax Administrators.
- Complete performance management functions for assigned Tax Administrators.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce / Economics with a specialization in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience preferred.
- CA / CPA / ACCA or similar professional qualification preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP/ IFRS.
Additional requirements:
- Strong technology skills, as well as problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to be a leader within the team and amongst peers.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, including excellent time management.
- 2+ years to 4+ years of experience in Fund Financial Reporting, accounting, or finance field preferred.
