Job Title: Officer, Financial Reporting

The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive support to investment company clients, ensuring the timely preparation of financial statements within stringent deadlines for audit/client review. Candidates will need to work shifts that overlap reasonably with US and EMEA hours to facilitate training, on-the-job practice, and feedback.

What you will be responsible for:
As an Officer, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing technical reviews of private equity and hedge fund financial statements in accordance with relevant GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Understanding the scope of services offered to clients and reviewing with the team; demonstrating technical expertise; ensuring that team meets all client deliverables and managing relationships of assigned clients.
- Adhering to all controls/checklists and procedures, and making recommendations for improvement.
- Proactively managing risk at the business level, taking full accountability for all steps of the production chain.
- Ensuring effective use of automation (FundSuite, Macros, etc.) and recommending current system enhancements.
- Coordinating the research and resolution of any accounting issue, auditor or client comments, and/or JV inquiries.
- Participating in the resolution of client issues.
- Providing coaching and development opportunities to staff and completing and delivering performance reviews on time.
- Making recommendations for hiring, disciplining, controlling work, determining promotions, and terminating employment.
- Coordinating activities between multiple departments within the organization, including our global offshoring partners.
- Drafting and updating task lists for offshoring partners, ensuring all supporting documentation is available to them and acting as the primary contact to answer their questions and issues.

Education & Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/Economics with a specialization in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience preferred.
- CA/CPA/ACCA or similar professional qualifications preferred.
- Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS.
- 12+ years to 14+ years of experience in related Mutual Fund/Hedge fund Financial Reporting/accounting or finance field preferred, including previous experience in managing staff.
- Knowledge of Hedge and Private Equity Fund structures, designs & hierarchies, standalone funds, master-feeder funds, and the role of each entity in the fund structure.
- Strong technology skills along with problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Demonstrated leadership within a team and among peers.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, including excellent time management skills.
