Job Title:
Associate Consultant Investment Writing
Principal Responsibilities:
- Research and produce asset-class commentary through analysis on macro-economic data, developments in global financial markets, and political events impacting economies.
- Proactively adapt, strategize, communicate, and execute on a day-to-day basis.
- Research, organize, and write engaging thought leadership content, including commentaries and presentations that reinforce the investment views and positioning taken by the Firm.
- Act as a writing and editing resource, ensuring high-quality and accurate materials are produced, having understood the audience.
- Work closely with stakeholders such as Portfolio managers, investment associates, marketing team, product and global distribution teams to develop new ideas and ensure alignment on content creation and messaging.
- Contribute to the broader Investment Communications team’s output, including editing regular publications and quarterly commentaries.
- Ensure consistency in the company’s voice, key messages, and editorial style across markets and channels.
- Stay up to date with developments in financial markets and maintain a deep understanding of thought leadership activities implemented by our peer group.
- Recognize the regulatory and economic environment for product and non-product information in the appropriate geographical area.
Skills / Experience:
- Extensive knowledge of financial markets and investment/financial concepts, with the ability to understand and communicate product strategy.
- Good product knowledge and ability to translate that into thoughtful and engaging written commentary.
- Exceptional writing skills to help create a wide range of communication materials for various audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to capture complex ideas and express them in a clear, concise, and engaging writing style.
- Able to work at a fast pace with strong attention to detail, highly organized, with strong project management skills.
- Consistent, proactive, and prompt follow-through.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of staff and management.
- Creativity—able to recommend new and unique ideas.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- 5-6 years working experience in a financial services firm/asset management industry.
- MBA or equivalent / CFA would be an added advantage.
