Summary:

Under general supervision, the Analyst, Credit Analysis is responsible for reviewing company financial statements/annual reports and other supporting financial data to prepare spreadsheets and input data into the Moody’s Credit Lens. Analyzing company financials/annual reports, quarterly statements, and other supporting financial data to determine their financial position, this role prepares reports on entities’ business, focusing on operating and financial performance with an emphasis on creditworthiness.

Major Duties:

- Review individuals/entities' financials/annual reports and other supporting financial data to accurately prepare spreads in Moody’s Credit Lens (MCL).

- Determine the type of information needed to prepare spreadsheets, obtain data from source documents, interpret data into a format for financial analysis, and record figures on spreadsheets or MCL.

- Analyze company financials/annual reports, quarterly statements, and other supporting financial data to determine their financial position and identify potential risk factors.

- Support underwriters in preparing credit memorandums of borrowing entities by analyzing their operating and financial performance with a focus on creditworthiness.

Knowledge/Skills:

- Knowledge of U.S. finance and accounting preferred, acquired through formal education and appropriate experience required to analyze and evaluate financial statements.

- Knowledge of applicable industry laws and regulations required to review operational, credit, and business risk.

- Analytical and communication skills (verbal and written) are required to analyze entities’ operating performance and prepare presentations.

- Good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Experience Required:

- 1-3 years of banking or other financial analysis related experience.
