Role The job requires working for a Global Hedge Fund Administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. This individual will have a strong technical Accounting background; experience working within the Financial Services industry. The position involves understanding of various investment instruments like Equities, Fixed Income Products, Derivatives, Swaps, CFDs, Repos etc. The team’s main responsibility is to produce and analyze the daily T+1 Pnl. Major Duties Prepare / review daily PnL reports and analyse to determine the largest gainers or losers for the 3rd Party Administrator PlatformReview and resolve daily pricing exceptions raised and assist in price verification of various types of financial products.Examine quality of prices received from Vendors and pricing exception tolerance level with onshore teams in HK, Chicago, NY & Dublin.Work with Shared Services team in Chicago to identify and fix PnL problemsWork on ad-hoc products for the onshore Product Control teamCoordinate monthly close process with onshore Product Control Analyst for client deliveryWork with Account Managers across global locations to facilitate any client reporting requestsKnowledge of financial products like, Equity, Credits, Derivative instruments, TRS, REPO etc. Accountabilities Employees are required to comply with the regulatory regime in which Northern Trust operates as appropriate to the above roleEmployees are expected to exercise due care and diligence, ensuring the areas the incumbent is responsible for are organized and controlledEmployees are required to observe proper standards of market, business and personal conduct, demonstrating integrity in the execution of dutiesReports to TL/ Section Manager Skills Approachable and able to promote teamwork through creative solutionsGood analytical, numerical and reasoning skillsTime management and delegation skillsDeep understanding of process and process improvementExcellent/advanced knowledge of Excel with VBA experience being a plus; should be familiar with MS Word & Office tools.Excellent English, grammar, written and oral communication skillsAdaptive, flexible style with the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Qualifications: A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Financial Services environment, preferably, performing processes involving P&L, price verification and risk.Experience with Hedge Funds, Investment Management and/or Financial Services strongly preferred.Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or a quantitative discipline.  Masters’ degree would be an advantage.Business exposure to Equity or Credit or at least some complex derivative products like Equity, OTC & FX Options, TRS, CDS, CDX, synthetic CDO's, MBS, Bank Debt, Debt Warrants, Convertible Securities, Corporate and Treasury Bonds.
