This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Internal Audit function. This position will report to the Senior Manager in the Netherlands.The positionThe Senior Auditor position offers qualified candidates an opportunity to work in a diverse team to enhance their leadership, presentation, project management, problem-solving, critical thinking, investigation, and collaboration skills. The Senior Auditor is responsible for leading audit teams of 1 - 4 team members in a wide variety of projects while interacting with all levels of Ashland management. The role provides exposure to the commercial units, operations, compliance and resource groups as well as to the different regions of the world. Analytical, accounting, financial reporting, business process assessment, internal control, risk assessment, and report writing skills are used and developed in the role.The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:Lead assigned audit projects from start to finish, includingidentifying and assessing project risks and controlsdeveloping audit programsperforming and reviewing audit workmanaging the projects' deadlines and budgetssupervising and coaching assigned staff-auditorsreporting agreed-upon results to management and other stakeholdersPerforming Sarbanes-Oxley Act controls evaluation and testingConducting fraud investigationsManaging the relationships with auditees for the assigned auditsIn order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:3-5 years of experience in operations, supply chain, finance, sales, trade compliance, or other business areas; 2 years of experience in auditing or accounting a plusBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or other comparable/relevant majorExperience in project management, leadership, business risk assessments, process evaluations, or process improvement recommendationsExperience with SAP or comparable Enterprise Reporting Resource planning systemAbility to influence and foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersExcellent English writing and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills; good interpersonal skillsExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills- ability to assess and evaluate data to identify trends and inconsistenciesStrong business acumen and basic understanding of accounting principlesIndependent thinking and attention to detailAbility to lead and develop people and work well in a dynamic, result-driven team environmentAbility to travel approximately 20%, domestically and internationallyThe following skill sets are preferred:MBA a plusOther foreign language skills.Strong Excel, PowerBI, and data analysis skillsTeam playerSelf-starterIn possession of relevant professional certification or committed to obtaining such certification (i.e., CIA, CPA, etc.).In more than 100 countries, the people of Ashland LLC.
