This role requires a deep understanding of the mortgage industry, lending operations, and regulatory compliance, coupled with strong analytical and communication skills to bridge the gap between business and technology teams. Essential Job Functions: Collaborate with business stakeholders and other relevant departments to gather and document detailed business requirements. Analyze and assess current business processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies or areas for improvement. Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements and user stories for development teams. Lead cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, software solutions, and new tools that enhance operational efficiency within the mortgage and lending lifecycle. Provide strategic insights and direction to stakeholders to ensure business objectives are met. Manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery of initiatives. Act as a mentor and guide to junior analysts and team members. Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to streamline operations. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement best practices. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the performance of lending operations and identify areas for improvement. Use data analysis to support decision-making and business strategy, ensuring that data-driven solutions are implemented. Good understanding and working experience in Mortgage and Lending or Banking Domain. Stay up to date with the latest trends, regulations, and compliance requirements affecting the mortgage and lending industry. Ensure that all business requirements and system changes comply with regulatory standards. Create and maintain documentation, such as business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specification documents (FSDs), and user guides. Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to communicate findings, solutions, and project status updates. Work closely with technical teams to ensure seamless integration of systems and software used in the mortgage and lending processes. Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure that systems meet business requirements before implementation. Qualifications : 14+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 5 years in the mortgage and lending domain. Proven track record of leading complex projects and delivering business solutions in the mortgage, lending, or financial services industry. Strong knowledge of mortgage and lending software platforms (e.g., LOS, CRM, Loan Origination Systems). Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Tableau, etc.). Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology and project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Confluence. Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) are a plus. Experience working with mortgage technology vendors and third-party service providers. Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and digital mortgage platforms. Experience in the implementation of automated mortgage origination and underwriting systems.
